Description
Datura is a genus of plants that also belongs to the family Solanaceae, just like Brugmansia.
Often referred to as ‘thorn apple’, they are known for their upright trumpet-shaped flowers and powerful hallucinogenic properties.
The plants of the genus Datura contain alkaloids such as scopolamine, hyoscyamine, and atropine, which can be both medicinal and toxic, depending on the dosage and application.
